Tawny Bitter, produced since 1979, Tawny has become one of the most popular beers in the West Country.
Brewed using pale and crystal malted barley and British hops, Tawny is a distinctive well-balanced best bitter with a subtle hop palate, which blends with the sweetness of the malt.
Tawny has been a finalist in the Champion Beer of Britain Competition and is a two-time Good Beer Guide “Beer of the Year”.
Barn Owl was Voted supreme champion of the Maltings Beer Festival immediately after its launch in 1994. This classic premium ale continued to win many accolades.
Traditionally brewed with pale, crystal and chocolate malted barley and selected whole British hops.
Barn Owl is a mahogany ale with hints of toffee and a malty, nutty finish with a touch of sweetness.

Golden Seahawk formerly known as Golden Eagle became a regular brew in Summer 2001 and has rapidly become a firm favourite with local drinkers. Seahawk is traditionally brewed with Pale, Gold, Vienna and Crystal malts which gives the beer its characteristic bright golden colour.
Carefully selected hops provide a fragrant aroma with a background of honey flavour offering a fruit filled smooth finish.
Old Buzzard Dark Ale, ABV 4.8%, is a traditional dark ale brewed with pale, crystal and chocolate roasted malts and British hops.
Old Buzzard is a deep copper red with roasted chocolate malt, giving a dry, nutty flavour with hints of amaretto biscuit.
The finish in the mouth is a dry smokey smooth finish.
Nutcracker was Originally brewed many years ago after sitting as a recipe in the bottom drawer in the Cotleigh office. Nutcracker is a traditional low ABV 3.4% mild.
Nutcracker is surprisingly packed full of flavour, leaving a smooth sweet taste in the mouth. It is a well-designed recipe that balances the complexity of malts.
Brewed with a single pale malt and wet 2023 hops, picked fresh from the English countryside the day before brewing. Be the first to try this season’s hops!

The original Old Hooker was first brewed in 2011 at 4.3% ABV for the Rugby 6 Nations and then re-brewed for 2012’s competition. This beer will be making its appearance as a session version with a low ABV of 3.4%, in line with drink awareness for the Rugby World Cup 2023.
This beer boasts the aroma of crips chocolate maltiness, perfectly balanced with the three hops to give an unrivalled and pleasurable drinking experience.

Harrier, was first brewed in 1982 under the names of WB Bitter, Batch Bitter & Black Cock Bitter for local pubs.
Now this beer is trademarked as Harrier – a light and golden low-alcohol beer with a delicate floral and fruity aroma for a refreshingly sweet and slightly hoppy finish.
Malty and biscuity in both the nose and taste: well-flavoured for a beer with a low ABV. The hops come into their own towards the end of each taste, giving a bitter yet floral finish.
